Call for Abstract submissions
TropAg 2025 Scientific Program Committee welcomes submissions for abstracts to be considered as oral or poster presentations at TropAg 2025 to be held in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia from 11-13 November 2025. The deadline for submissions is Monday 28 April 2025 to be considered for either a symposium/oral or poster presentation.
Under the conference theme ‘Addressing global challenges’ the program will be organised around the following key themes:

Abstract submissions now open
Submissions must be submitted via the TropAg 2025 portal and follow the instructions listed in the portal to be eligible.
Abstract submission guidelines
Preparation

The body text of the Abstract (not including Title and Authors) must not exceed 300 words and should be no less than 250 words to ensure that it has sufficient details to enable reviewers to make an informed assessment.

Abstracts are to be text only. Graphs, figures, diagrams, images etc. must not be included.

All abbreviations must be spelled out on first use.

Scientific names must be italicised.

Abstracts should be thoroughly checked for spelling and grammar.

Reference citations are not required, but if used should be limited to two references. Any references included will be taken as part of the 300-word limit.

Ensure that all co-authors have read and approved the Abstract submission.
Submission
To submit an Abstract go to the Abstract Submission portal and create an account for submission The portal will then take you through the process of submitting your abstract. Each of the tabs on the left-hand side of the page will bring up a step in the submission process that needs to be completed. At any time in the process, you can click the Save As Draft button to save your incomplete submission and return to it at a later time. The Review section will give you an overview of the sections that are still required to be completed before you can submit your abstract.
Once all required sections have been completed, you can submit your abstract in the Submit section. The deadline to submit your abstract is 11:59pm (AEST) 28 April 2025.
Multiple abstract submissions per person will be accepted.
Terms and Conditions
During the Abstract submission process, submitters will be asked to acknowledge that they understand the following Terms and Conditions:

Whereas they retain ownership of copyright of their abstract and eventual presentation, they are permitting the hosts of TropAg 2025 to publish the Abstract and any supplied biographical information in the conference program, media releases and on the conference website and/or App.

The final PowerPoint presentation must be supplied to the conference organisers at least 24 hours prior to your session.

If your abstract submission is accepted for an oral/symposium or poster presentation you will be required to register as an in-person delegate for the conference and pay the appropriate registration fee. Full conference and single day registrations will be available via the on-line registration portal. Co-authors who are not attending the conference do not have to register.

Submitters of Abstracts acknowledge that if they are selected for presentation at the conference then they are responsible for the organisation and costs of their travel, accommodation, registration fee and incidentals in respect to attending the conference.
